YouTube videos on our website
We have produced a series of accessible films, with downloadable transcriptions and Closed Captions, to help people of all abilities find out about visiting the Gallery. To view these videos or download the transcriptions, please go to our Visit section.
Help using Closed Captions
To watch the YouTube video, hover the mouse anywhere over the video player to display the toolbar. Click on the 'CC' button (you may first need to click on the button with an up arrow to show the 'CC' button) to turn subtitles on.
To change the font size, click on the video player and press '+' (plus) or '-' (minus).

Accessible resources and services we provide
- A number of online resources, such as audio description of major portraits, are available on our Digital Resources section.
The Gallery works with a rich mix of community partners to bring the Gallery’s Collection alive to new audiences across the country. A flavour of some current creative arts projects include:
- Hospital Schools programme - with young people at Great Ormond’s Street hospital
- Road to 2012 participation programme working with community groups and students from the University of East London
- Working with young people currently not in employment or education
- Working with homeless, disability and faith groups
